True. The development has completed. Again, as stated in the original piece, our advances in technology have allowed us to push the survivability quite a bit inward from the general 9 months of normal development.

As for birth defects / genetic defects: Yes, they can mean a death sentence without adequate care. The problem with taking this into account in this context is: Not everybody in the world has access to these technologies. To base our moral guide on what is theoretically available is not really a satisfying answer.

I don’t think that we generally feel that life should be protected just because it can continue living on its own. It has more to do with the ability of the living being to have feelings, and to think about itself – something that we are compassionate about. We have empathy with beings that show those traits, and we instinctively feel that their life should be protected, just as our own.

True, but the problem is that many anti-choice people make the argument that life starts at conception. We have to draw the demarcation line somewhere though, so for me that line is when the organism has developed all the necessary organs to be viable on it’s own. This was no judgement on the “worth of life” in this context, it was merely the question: When does life begin and how shall it end?

Obviously this is something that goes way beyond a simple blog post.

sorry I am not sure what is wrong with the camera. The beeping sound usually is a warning that the exposure time is long.

The only other option is that for some reason it can’t advance the film, try to open it and reload the film.

If that doesn’t help then the only tip I have would be to search the Internet for someone else with this camera or contact Canon, though it has been out of production now for almost two decades so the odds are pretty slim that they could still repair it.

I already smoke pipe and cigars but it is a purely “mood” depending event and I can go weeks between a cigar. I truly am a pleasure smoker. The Shishah as it is in this case does not have any tobacco.

What was recommended to me *cough* *cough* was to fill the pipe with Beer instead of water for that “extra bang”.

It’s not the most efficient delivery method for quotequote herbs but it’s something you can mix in. I’ve also heard vapo-crumbs are reasonable to mix it; they retain some potency but are harsh when smoked through typical methods.

Really too bad these places were almost driven out of business by a smoking law that refused to make an exception for them, and now forced to offer only an inferior product.

Better get a knife and cut yourself at some non-lethal and not-so-exposed places. I don’t want you to do that, but it would be healthier than smoking. Never believe in anything “cultural” about smoking – it’s just a disguise for giving way to addiction. Cigars are roughly penis shaped doses of nicotine; you will probably find a penis shaped knife when you search for it. It’s healthier.
