the darkerside to rants

A few minutes ago China finished it’s showing for this years Celebration of Light and I guess now is a good time to make my choice.

And the winner is:

The United States.

China didn’t really disappoint, like the previous two years they really did pull out the stops and let it “ring”, but I didn’t really feel anything “emotional” with it. May have been the music or just the overall show, but in the end, it was something where you had a moment of “ah!” and then nothing.

It didn’t really help that there were several technical glitches (you’ll notice once I have the video posted) and that may have had something to do with it as well.

Canada was…. well, just a bit tame. I had expected more from them, too bad that it did neither impress with it’s *boom* nor with it’s “mood”.

So: The winner for me is the United States. Let’s see if the rest agrees with me on Saturday.
