First of all let me say that I am not a fan of Western. Heck I dodged Firefly for three years because it was billed as “Western meets SciFi” (and yeah, that was a mistake).

So when HBO started their Western “Deadwood” I noted and ignored. But Warren Ellis was constantly nagging about it and telling how great it is, so I started watching it and…. Wow it’s good. No John Wayne crap, this is actually great story telling and once again proofs that you need a good story and the setting doesn’t matter.

Too bad it’ll be over after this season.
