the darkerside to rants

While I am holding onto a cup of coffee I stare out onto the rainy English Bay… I think this is the first time we had real rain here in a couple of weeks, so much for rainy Vancouver.

But then they say it is a dry summer, forest fires are pretty much are ravaging large parts of Canada and even the Boreal Forest isn’t immune to it anymore.

I remember seeing all the burned trees from a view years back when I was up in Fort McMurray to go and visit the oil sands.

If this is really our doing we’ve done a lousy job as the “guardian” of the planet.
