Oh how much fun moving is….

…. found a new place, great scenery, a bit more pricey than I wanted, and for the next week or so I guess I’ll be sleeping on the HW floor. My back is already up in joy over that.

So it seems the move to Vancouver has happened, the new job hasn’t happened yet, though I think I have a clearer idea by the end of this week. There is one specific job I hope to get which reads like a dream made in heaven, but who knows.

And finally maybe next week I have a better idea about the whole relationship thing, I hate being afraid, much more so if it is utterly irrational, and lately I am good in being scared shitless irrationally :/

Semantics

[Now listening to: Drinking In Gomorrah from the album "Impossible Broadcasting" by Transglobal Underground]

I had a discussion the other day with someone about love. Or more specific about the love she has for her boyfriend. She made an interesting remark early on:

“I not only love him, but I am in love with him.”

This was an interesting little thing that didn’t go out of my head, but I think I finally figure it out.

To love someone means to care about them, to want to see them happy, to help them and be there for them. Friendship is love. What a parent feels for their kids is love.

To be in love with someone means to (being crude here) be obsessed with the person. You obsess over this person for one reason or another. You want them around and nothing really is going to stop you.

So as, good as it is to be in love with someone, if you also do not love this person it is dangerous, not only to you but to them.

As odd as it sounds, both are canceling each other out and this is why relationships work, it’s all about balance, they don’t exclude each other, but rather compliment each other and thus produce something way better than each of them could achieve.

Seen on the Cambie Bridge Granville Bridge:

I want …
I need …
I have?

What can I deny?

accept?
support?

Who say’s I am not ready -
When it is already happening?

Close your eyes, open your crown.
You already know.

You are ready
Now birth your creation!
