Sad….

… no furniture, so instead of sitting at home and doing some work on a “real” computer I sit at the local 24 hour Blenz, drinking green tea and typing away on my Powerbook.

At least I am well connected. I want my furniture.

When to walk away

Posted in Life, Musings on April 5th, 2006 by Michael

The big question in my life always was when one should walk away from other people. It is so easy, isn’t it? You just make up your mind about that person and then you walk, don’t look back and things will be fine….. Or not.

I never understood why my father stayed with my mother. She was abusive, demeaning and the term “nasty person” is probably sugar coating it. She lost grip on her life, she lost grip on reality. Grieve I guess can do that to you. How often do you stand up when you are being shot down?

It is not how often you fall, it is how quickly you stand up

This is certainly true, but how often can you fall without thinking that crawling may be a better option? How long can you crawl before you decide that just lying there is just fine?

This is the end my friend

Posted in Life, Music on April 5th, 2006 by Michael

You think you’re safe from all that’s gone before
No one can touch you now for evermore
It’s out of sight but not out of your mind
You cannot lose it you can only pretend
This is the end my friend this is the end

You’re a great example to us all
A pillar of society, that’s for sure
But I hear those bones shake behind the cupboard door
And I know the combination to free them once more
This is the end my friend this is the end.

I don’t need no one to spy
Telescope or private eye
Cos I know, yes I’ve know it all the while

You go to goodwill functions, charity balls
You walk with royalty in presidential halls
But in your soul a voice is screaming to be heard
No matter how you try it cannot be deterred
This is the end my friend this is the end

I don’t need no one to spy
Telescope or private eye
Cos I know, yes I’ve know it all the while

I hear your modest tones upon the radio
And I see you public face an all-convincing show
You know who you are and where you’re coming from
You know what the future hold you cannot always run
This is the end my friend this is the end

I don’t need no one to spy
Telescope or private eye
Cos I know, yes I’ve know it all the while

You think you’re safe from all that’s gone before
No one can touch you now for evermore
It may be hid but in spite of it all
It’s there in neon letters ten feet tall
This is the end my friend this is the end
