Europe’s Biggest Mushroom

Hungry?

According to the BBC, the worlds biggest mushroom as been found in Switzerland.

The fungus was discovered in a national park near the eastern town of Ofenpass, said the Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Countryside Research (WSL).

Spanning 35 hectares (86 acres), the mostly underground fungus is believed to be 1,000 years old, the WSL added.

Found in the Malheur national forest in Oregon, that fungus covers 890 hectares (2,200 acres) – making it the largest living organism ever discovered.

Guess you can make a lot of mushrooms omlettes out of it.

Now available for Video Chat

I finally did it,

I re-did my firewall and it is now running on Smoothie. This also means I finally managed to get the Video Chat to work with iChat.

So if you have an AIM account (or an iChat account) drop me a line and maybe we can try this out some time.

I did have a brief chat with Jean Snow over in Tokyo and I have to say I was deeply impressed by the picture quality of the iSight.
