I didn’t even notice

If I wouldn’t have been bombarded with all these news about the importance of this day… Well I wouldn’t have remembered.

Quite frankly I have to wonder if it is me that is wrong here or if it is the mass histeria that still seems to have America (and judging by international news the world) in it’s grasp.

Granted, three years ago some loonies flew some planes in the building and close to 3000 people died. But this is by far not the worst human made disaster, there have been worse in the past, just not as well documented.

Now, I can understand that people who lost family members and friends are still suffering / missing them, but where does this collective “crying” come from? I did see the planes hit, I looked at it and at the end of the day nothing had changed for me. If you listen to Bush and his cronies they claim the world has changed…. As far as I am concerned it hasn’t. People still get up in the morning, still go to work, try to make a living, and still people don’t come home at the end of the day.

People still die every day for no reason but the fact that they were born in the wrong place, where at the wrong place at the wrong time etc.

So what is it that makes 9/11 so special? Is it the media who latches onto it day after day? Is it the politics that claim that this is “unheard of” before?

I think some people should get their heads examined, and I don’t think I am one of them…. Shit happens as they say, and it will happen again. Life’s not about fairness, it’s about survival, and we may or may not like it, this is how it will always. be.

Peace out.
